This course is designed to give 1st-year undergraduate students the fundamental knowledge they need to be successful in university- basic level academic writing module. It is designed to improve their basic grammatical skills, reading, and writing fluency, also to approach comprehension and written expression in the language of study, so that the student will be able to produce a coherent text; moreover, it allows the student to develop his/her textual, meta-textual and linguistic knowledge by reading all types of texts to produce them subsequently, and finally to Install/develop reading and writing skills.
