The course examines a variety of English literary genres (including fiction, poetry, and drama) within different historical and aesthetic contexts. In addition to learning about genres, the course aims at developing the students’ skills necessary for appreciating, engaging with, and analyzing literary texts through close reading, textual support, and critical thinking.
